The Bloomer, Wisconsin area is a lovely place and the weather for this drive was beautiful. The landscape was very picturesque with small farms squeezed between forested hillsides. The Cavanaughs have a very inviting farm near Bloomer. Their lovely home is framed by a white picket fence, surrounded by red out buildings. There was plenty of parking in a lush green field where the horses enjoyed grazing near the trailers when they weren’t working! There were five vehicles and 18-20 people who headed out on Sunday, June 5. down a lovely, quiet route where ponds and fields were abuzz with dragonflies and birds. Hors d’oeuvres were served in the yard as the vehicles returned and the horses were unhitched, followed by a potluck in the garage.
